What exactly is Project Aware?

PADI Project Aware is a non-profit ocean conservation organization. It started in the 1980s as a marine conservation initiative and has evolved over the years into a strong and global organization. The goal is to inspire, inform and support people, governments, non-profit organizations and companies that share their values and visions for a clean and healthy ocean.

At Kuşadası Diving Center we are all passionate divers and sea lovers. That is why we continuously strive to reduce our carbon footprint and to live more environmentally conscious. We believe it is our responsibility as dive professionals to keep our oceans clean and ensure that our customers, students and divers do the same.

What are we doing?

Kuşadası Diving Center has adopted a dive spot in Kuşadası, this dive spot is called “Adabanko”. We aim to do a Project Aware dive every first Monday of the month.

Everyone can register for this dive. The goal is to collect as much trash as possible after which a report of the dive is placed on the website with the result. To be able to dive you must have at least the Advanced Open Water level and have completed at least 50 dives.
